GUEST BOOK
"I have never seen a wild kiwi, let alone held one, and if it wasn't for places like the Kiwi House, you wouldn't get opportunities like this...
I last visited the Kiwi House in 1971, when I was 10-years-old and it is great to see how the facility has extended.
As Minister of Tourism, it is fascinating to see places like this. I get about 600 invitations a week and I like coming to things which are interesting and cool... There is a great community atmosphere here. I will definitely be coming back."
(Prime Minister, John Key, on his visit to the Otorohanga Kiwi House & Native Bird Park – 12 February 2009)
Please note: It was a special privilege to be visited by our Prime Minister and to give him the opportunity of holding a kiwi. Unfortunately we cannot permit any handling of kiwi by the public.
